Similar to cleaning before the cleaning lady comes (I know people who do that!), I decided to download Illustrator and see if I could learn how to use it before I start any classes. At least the basics.
And it’s a good thing too, because the first time I opened the program I had the same deer in the headlights look that I get when I peek under the hood of a car!
I learned the very basics of logo creation so I toyed around with one for the other blog. After I created it, I went through some crazy steps- just for the fun of it.
I had taken the image of the man under the pier (yes, that’s what that shadowy image is!), and it was a horrible photo. So, I messed around with some effects on Photoshop and added the logo between his arm and raised leg (not sure what he was doing when I asked him to pose!). The lines on the V reminded me of puppet strings, so I found a puppet to edit and add.
Of course… once I was done I thought it would have been super cool to have even more strings, attached to the man, so that he resembled a puppet as well. A puppet operating a puppet! Well, maybe next time.
I’m not sure you can tell the figure is a man on your end. I think I only know because I know, but I thought I’d give it a test run and see what you think. I wanted to share it here anyway, because it’s going to be fun to see my progress once school starts in August.
That’s about all for now.
Peace and Love!!
