I’m back for my series Life: From A to Z, and I’m on the word QUILT for the letter “Q.” A Pop Art painting by the Brazilian artist Lobo inspired me to try the featured image, and the idea behind it was to create a “quilt-look.”
It would look a lot more like a quilt if I would have stayed away from the drop shadows, but I was having too much fun with the dancers to leave the image flat. I’m going to try another version at some point down the road, but for now I’m happy with the end result.Continue reading
AND IT LOOKS LIKE HE’S LATE!
Well… it’s 2020, so that would end the year in a way that is par for the course. We laid out the red carpet for him and everything! And now that I mentioned “par for the course,” it would have been fun to put a hole out there in those green mountains with a flagstick in it. Ha! Maybe that’s where Santa is… he’s GOLFING!
I thought this image was perfect for tonight’s Everything Red and my countdown to Christmas. It was actually inspired by a couple of Pinterest finds. I was going for the stained glass look when I started out, but as things progressed it went a little haywire.

I hope you enjoyed the image,
And have a wonderful weekend!

I knew it was right the minute I saw it, because it seems so appropriate today with all of the shut downs and stay at home orders. There’s still a world out there beyond our little abodes, but you have to look a little harder to see it.

And I know I have trouble sticking with a plan, but if I don’t get out there and start walking and doing some strength training after the holidays I think I might develop a bad case of sarcopenia (muscle loss from aging).
Maybe you’re already familiar with that word (sarcopenia), but I just learned about it the other day as one of the men in my class is writing his paper on it. It does have to do with aging, but you can help keep it at bay with strength training. I know my muscles aren’t what they used to be and I’m anxious to get back into my New Lifestyle, New Me frame of mind and get busy with it.Continue reading
