Magical Moon

Magical moonlight, Bidding the sunset adieu, Lighting up the night. I’ve been playing with the moon tonight. It’s not what I intended at all. I sat down to create something with a dancer, and somewhere between snacks and a movie… everything changed. That’s a wild Friday night for you. šŸ˜‰ Peace & Love!

Ghost Town

Facades and foundations are all that remain, Of the city from which her spirit once came. Underneath the dust, and the rubble there lay, Narrow streets lined with goldā€¦ least thatā€™s what they say. During one summer, when the moon shone just right, A manā€™s said to have seen her, There dancing at night. Itā€™s believed that their hearts were at once set on fire, On top of that mountain, beyond the old mire. Now legend it goes… that once every June, Some see their shadows, up in the full moon. — by JanetWord Count: 91 Weekend Writing Prompt #88: Foundations Today’s Accomplishment: Write an Acrostic Poem (and I just learned what that was yesterday, so this was a challenge indeed!) Peace & Love Everyone!

Moonstruck

moonĀ·struck/adjective1. unable to think or act normally, especially because of being in love. Inspired by the Word of the Day Challenge. Every now and then I check out the word of the day challenge, hoping it will inspire me to start writing poetry. As you can see by my recent posts… that hasn’t really worked out for me! Anyway, I was inspired by today’s word: Moonstruck, and now it’s a half hour before midnight and I’m barely getting started! I wanted to do the featured image first—and it took me much longer than I had expected—so it looks like the poetry will have to wait. I think the image captures the “moonstruck” mood though, so it’s all good. Have a beautiful week everyone… Peace and Love!

A Song in my Soul

What I have in my heart and soul — must find a way out. That’s the reason for music. Ludwig van Beethoven Today has been such a good day! It felt like there was a little celebration going on inside of my soul, and I wanted to burst out in song! Believe it or not, I actually wrote that before I found the Beethoven quote. How perfect is that?! I mentioned before that I was done apologizing or explaining what went wrong with my images, but I have to be honest and say that this design wasn’t exactly what I envisioned. I love the rust tones though, so I decided that it was time to call it finished. It’s funny, sometimes when people ask me what my favorite color is, I wonder if they think it’s strange when I tell them rust, or brown.Ā I just love those earthy shades! I used some clouds and an old moon shot to start it out because today I was able to withdraw from my Biology class (which was …

A Little Moonshine

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty. Maya Angelou I used another cloud image taken the other day, and the moon I’ve used here was a shot taken in April—when we had the full pink moon. On another note, I’m reading a book called Writing to Change the World, by Mary Pipher. It’s a pretty good read so far, and I’m hoping to use some of her suggestionsĀ on the blog in the future. Change is good!

Mysterious

Mystery creates wonder and wonder is the basis of man’s desire to understand. Neil Armstrong That’s the treeĀ that IĀ obsessed over, and sometimes still do. Mysteriously, the moon came into play and now theĀ frame is inside of the moon! Did I mention that my mood tonight is Mysterious?

Stolen Joy

My joy was temporarily stolen today. Nothing huge. Just silly stuff. Sometimes I hear something, or read something… and it just sucks the life out of me. Sometimes I wonder if people realize how piercing words are, and how deeply they penetrate.Ā No matter how simple they are. They can make or break a person. And steal their joy. That’s all. Things will be brighter tomorrow, and my JOY will be returned.

Purple Rain

What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That’s a pretty good idea. I’ll give you the moon, Mary. George Bailey, It’s a Wonderful Life
