Picture Perfect?

Have no fear of perfection. You’ll never reach it.

SALVADOR DALI

One of the reasons that I enjoy doing my series Life: From A to Z is that most of the time I’m not even sure what I’m going to write about. These posts are very spontaneous. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. But, HEY, nobody’s perfect!

It’s usually either a great quote that I manage to dig up, or the content of my featured image that inspires me or helps me along. In the case of the letter “P,” it was the “perfect” quote (above) that helped me select my p-word; PERFECTION.

Fragments

As wings touch the sky,

Fragments of eternity,

Scatter ‘cross the sea.

I have to admit that I’ve already visited my thesaurus twice today. Don’t ask me why I feel the need to confess this… it just feels right. Plus it explains why my haiku—written for Ronovan Write Haiku Challenge: Meet & Part —contains neither of of those words. Ha! The meaning is there!

I actually started working on the image yesterday, for Ragtag’s Sunday word prompt, which was BEACH. I realize it’s a day late, but it’s the thought that counts. It was another photograph from the archives, as I’ve yet to see the beach since COVID hit. Soon though!

That’s about all for now. I’ve got a short story to finish, some old posts to rummage through for my next rewrite, and a paper to write for school!

Until next time…
Peace & Love!

Rise Above

You can still fly,

You just need to flap a little harder.

And once you rise above,

The wind will catch your wings,

And you will soar.

Seagull

Waiting

Things aren’t exactly normal right now,

And I’m afraid I’ve lost my bearings.

So I will wait here,

Be still,

And know.

Three Things Challenge: Normal, Exactly, Bearings

Photo by me. A little seagull near the ocean, sitting tight and sitting pretty. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Gone Fishing

I was going to say farewell, bon voyage, hasta la vista—but I know myself better than that. It’s likely I’ll post a bit over the next week or two, while I’m getting acclimated. I need to wean myself off slowly, to avoid that weird separation anxiety. I don’t know. That sounds a little neurotic, but it’s how I’m wired. C’est la vie.
